While a nanny focuses almost exclusively on the children in the household, a postpartum cares for the entire family system. My role combines newborn care with dedicated maternal recovery support.
It is best to reserve your care during your second or third trimester to ensure availability around your estimated due date. However, last-minute inquiries for families who have already welcomed their baby are always welcome based on calendar availability.
Daytime care is entirely tailored to your daily needs. On any given day, I may step in to care for your newborn so you can take an uninterrupted nap or shower, prepare a nourishing meal, sanitize bottles and pump parts, assist with lactation/feeding, or offer hands-on guidance with swaddling, baby cues, and infant soothing.
During night shifts, I take over all newborn responsibilities so you can get deep, restorative sleep. If you are bottle-feeding, I handle all night feeds, burping, diapering, and settling. If you are nursing, I bring your baby to you for feedings and handle all the burping, diapering, and settling afterward. I also wash and sterilize feeding equipment before morning.
Yes! The transition to a growing family can be a big adjustment for toddlers and preschoolers. I offer guidance and practical strategies to help older siblings feel included, safe, and valued while supporting parents in managing shifting household dynamics and multi-child routines.
Olive Branch Baby Care provides in-home postpartum and overnight newborn support across the East Bay and surrounding Bay Area communities, as well as out-of-state or country inquiries.
